A bus on Wednesday collided with a truck coming from the opposite direction and fell into the Trishuli River in Chitwan district in Nepal, killing at least eight passengers and injuring 25 others.
Seven passengers died on the spot when the ill-fated bus en route to Arghakhanchi from Kathmandu fell into the river, police said.
Twenty-five others including a three-month-old infant were rescued alive from the river, they said. One passenger died on his way to hospital.
Five of the injured, whose condition is serious, have been brought to Kathmandu for medical treatment, police said.
