Germany: 1 killed, several injured in Hamburg supermarket knife attack

At a supermarket in Hamburg, one person died as a man attacked with knife at the place, told the German police.

Police told that the assailant entered the supermarket in the city's Barmbek district on Friday afternoon and attacked the customers before he fleed from the place. He was followed up by the witnesses who then reported the incident and alerted the police. He was arrested by the police near the scene.

According to police, several people suffered stab wounds while one of the victims was fatally wounded.

They told on Twitter that there was no information on assailant's motive or on the exact number of victims. No immediate details of the attcker also were not available to them.
