Pakistan's Science and Technology Minister Fawad Hussain Choudhry is known for his weird statements. Now, he is making news for his supposed plan to provide internet to the people of Jammu and Kashmir. During a public rally, Choudhry said he is looking at options to provide internet access via satellite or any other way. He claimed to have written a letter to Space and Upper Atmosphere Research Commission (SUPARCO) regarding this. SUPARCO is an executive and national space agency of the Government of Pakistan and a bilateral organisation of China National Space Administration, responsible for the nation's public and civil space programme and for aeronautics and aerospace research.

However, Fawad Choudhry soon became the target of the trolls for his supposed plan. During his speech, the minister kept saying 'SPRACO' instead of SUPARCO for which he was mercilessly shamed on social media. Please also took shots at his ambitious 'plan' to provide internet access via satellite. While Indian users predictbly criticised him, even some Pakistani users commented on the video saying he must provide internet service to the people of his own country first. Some even pointed out that many areas in Pakistan do not have internet access. Some Indian users reminded Fawad Choudhry that India already has capibility to destroy any satellite in space.

Pakistan journalist Naila Inayat tweeted, "After successfully giving helicopter rides for Rs55/km to the people of Pakistan, now Fawad Chaudhry will provide internet connectivity to the Kashmiris via satellite."

"And people are congratulating him for providing internet via satellite this is what is naya Pakistan.. And he is science and tech minister," another user said.

"if internet is fundamental rights in the world , why its suspended in Turbat kech Balochistan since 2015," asked one user.

"@fawadchaudhry How about stealing "timatar" via satellite too from India Thanks for being one of the best entertainer for India ... STOMACH ACHE HO JAATA HAI TUNHARE JOKE SUN SUN K -- Fawaa dhhh@tarej @AartiTikoo @Payal_Rohatgi @arifaajakia" tweeed on Indian user.

Chaudhry has recently targetted Indian film industry via the upcoming movie "Panipat". Slamming the upcoming Bollywood movie, he had said that the movie has distorted historical facts to portray Ahmad Shah Abdali as a "cruel" Muslim ruler.
