The National Archives will be delaying the publication of some “sensitive” files about the assassination of former president John F Kennedy, the administration officials said.

However, they are releasing around 2,800 records of JFK files.

At the request of the CIA, FBI and other agencies, President Donald Trump agreed to delay the release of some documents related to the November 22, 1963 assassination, the officials said on Thursday.

Earlier, Trump on Wednesday said that the classified government documents about the assassination of President John F. Kennedy will be released on Thursday.

"The long anticipated release of the #JFKFiles will take place tomorrow. So interesting!" Trump tweeted.
