In a shocking incident, a man suspected of shooting his grandmother and girlfriend has been taken into police custogy after he crashed his car into a pole following a chase with the police authorities. After the crash, he ran straight inside a busy supermarket as police officers shattered the front door with the bullets.
The suspect surrendered after keeping hostages in the supermarket for three hours.

One woman was killed inside the store, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti said.
Police officers packed with riot gears, rifles, stood along the side of Trader Joe’s in the Silver Lake area on Saturday and took the help of mirrors to look inside the supermarket as hostages came out in regular intervals with hands raised.
At least one person was injured but is expected to survive, a police officer said.
The suspect walked out of the store along with four hostages following which the police surrounded and searched him. He was carried to a waiting ambulance as he had blood on his left arm.
Investigators think the suspect, whose name has been kept secret till now had shot his girlfriend and grandmother in South Los Angeles and then fled in a 2015 Toyota Camry, Sgt. Barry Montgomery, a Los Angeles police spokesperson, said.
Officers spotted the suspect’s car near Hollywood and tried to pull him over, but the man refused to stop and led officers on a pursuit, he said. During the chase, the suspect shot “multiple rounds†at officers, though no officers were struck by the gunfire, he said.
At least one officer is believed to have returned fire, Montgomery said.
One woman, who got injured in the incident has been taken to the hospital, according to a fire department spokesperson, though it was unclear how she got injured.
Officials said that they had 100 firefighters and 19 ambulances at the scene.
