Lou is happy for Bob Dylan's Nobel Prize win but wonders why it took so long

Famous for Bob Dylan's tribute shows, Lou Majaw, is very happy for the  American songwriter and singer for winning the Nobel prize but wondered why it took so long. 

"It (Nobel prize) is rather late. But we are happy toknow that Dylan finally was recognised for his contributionsin poetry, songs and music," Lou, also known as 'TambourineMan' for his rendition of the famous Dylan song in most of hisprogrammes across the country, said.

Dylan's rasping voice tells of decade of rebellion, hasenthralled the music and peace loving tribals of Meghalayaand the north east.

Till date, he remains a huge cultural influence in thewhole region where different ethnic groups are fighting forthe preservation of their identities, he said.

Lou, who has celebrated every year without fail Dylan's birthday on May 24 for the past four decades, ishosting an evening for the Nobel laureate's fans this Sundayto celebrate his songs, poetry and music.

He is known for his rendering of Dylan songs "Blowin'in the Wind" and "The Times They Are A-Changin", which oncewere anthems for the US anti-war and civil rights movements inthe 1960s.

So deep is Dylan's influence in Lou's life that hisonly child, also an upcoming musician, is also named afterDylan.
