Two people were stabbed in Manchester city centre on Monday. The incident happened near Morrisons supermarket in Piccadilly Gardens at 12:10 GMT. One man was rushed to hospital with injuries not appearing to be life-threatening, BBC quotes a police spokesperson saying. Police initiated a number of road closures and people have been asked to avoid the area.
According to initial media reports, it was 'targeted attack' and there was no threat to wider community. No arrest has been made so far in the stabbing case.
The incident has come after ISIS claimed responsibility for a knife attack in South London last week.
