South Africa’s Zozibini Tunzi is Miss Universe 2019. Held at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, Ga., the 68th annual Miss Universe competition was once again hosted by Steve Harvey with Olivia Culpo (Paradise City) and Vanessa Lachey (BH90210) serving as backstage correspondents throughout the night and a musical performance by Ally Brooke.

Finishing in second place was Miss Puerto Rico Madison Anderson while Mexico’s Sofia Aragon took the third place.

Zozibini Tunzi is a 26-year-old from Tsolo, South Africa and describes herself as an activist for fight against gender-based violence. "She has devoted her social media campaign to changing the narrative around gender stereotypes. She is a proud advocate for natural beauty and encourages women to love themselves the way they are’’ her bio reads.

Miss Universe 2019
