Missing for 10 days, Thailand footballers, coach found alive in flooded cave

The 12 missing boys and their football coach have been found alive in a flooded cave in Thailand’s Tham Luang after 10 days. All of them were safe and sound.

The young football players have gone for a trip to Tham Luang cave along with their coach. However, the cave was flooded and they stranded inside it.

Thailand government started unprecedented rescue operation to find the boys and called country navy seals and experts from seven countries, including China, the US, and the UK.

It took 10 days to locate the boys, who were in the cave for the last 10 days without food. A British cave explorer was the first to reach the boys.

According to a video shared by Royal Thai Navy Seals, the boys, who were seated with baggy football shirts pulled over their knees, asked for food and wanted to leave the cave immediately.

However, after locating the boys, another tough job of getting them out have been started but according to the experts, it could take days or weeks to get them safely out of the cave.

It could take days (or weeks) to get them out but here's what happened while the nation held its breath and prayed for the safety of a boys' football team, according to local media reports.

"Trying to take non-divers through a cave is one of the most dangerous situations possible, even if the dives are relatively easy. That also begets the question: If the dives are difficult then supply will be difficult, but the risk of trying to dive them out is also exponentially greater," the Bangkok Times quoted Anmar Mirza, a leading American cave rescue expert, as saying.
