New Delhi:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday landed in Uganda on the second leg of his three-nation tour to African countries. This was the first visit by an Indian prime minister to the country since 1997.Â
During the visit, the prime minister is scheduled to have a one-to-one meeting with Yoweri Museveni, the Ugandan president, restricted and delegation-level talks, and participation at the Uganda joint business event.
The prime minister will also address the Uganda Parliament.
After Uganda, Modi will head to South africa on Wednesday, the last leg of his visit to participate in the BRICS Summit, whose theme this year is ‘BRICS in Africa’.
