North Korea says Donald Trump deserves 'death penalty' for insulting Kim Jong-un

North Korean state media has lambasted US president Donald Trump for insulting Kim Jong-un, stating the US leader deserved the 'death penalty'.

This came after Trump during his marathon trip to Asia sent a tweet from Hanoi, taking a dig at the North Korean leader over his height and weight.

“Why would Kim Jong-Un insult me by calling me ‘old,’ when I would NEVER call him ‘short and fat’?” he tweeted.

Rodong Sinmun, the official newspaper of North Korea's ruling Workers' Party, said,  "The worst crime for which he can never be pardoned is that he dared malignantly hurt the dignity of the supreme leadership".

"He should know that he is just a hideous criminal sentenced to death by the Korean people", it added.

He was also termed as a coward for cancelling a visit to the inter-Korean border.

 

Why would Kim Jong-un insult me by calling me "old," when I would NEVER call him "short and fat?" Oh well, I try so hard to be his friend - and maybe someday that will happen!
