Pak summons Indian high commissioner for not issuing medical visas

Islamabad:

According to media reports, Pakistan has summoned Indian high commissioner to Pakistan in Islamabad for not issuing medical visas to its nationals seeking treatment in India.

According to Geo News, thousands of Pakistan nationals seeking treatment for liver and heart-related diseases at major hospitals in New Delhi, Chennai, and other Indian cities have been affected due to non-issuance of medical visas.

Pakistan summoned Gautam Bambawale, Indian High Commissioner to Islamabad and expressed concern over the issue, it said.

However, the news was not confirmed by Pakistani officials.

India has temporarily suspended all bilateral engagements with Pakistan after Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav was sentenced to death by a military court on spying charges.

Tensions between the two countries have raised after two Indian soldiers were killed and beheaded by the border action team of Pakistan on May 1 in Kashmir.

After the incident, outraged India summoned Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit and demanded action against Pakistani soldiers and commanders responsible for the barbaric act.
