The alleged rape and murder of eight-year-old Zainab has left Pakistan in shock. People across the nation are protesting the brutal murder of the minor on streets and different platforms.
A Pakistani anchor to protest the brutal murder of Zainab after alleged rape and to convey a parents’ grief presented her news bulletin with her little daughter sitting on her lap.
In the video making rounds on the social media one can see Kiran Naz, anchor of Pakistan’s Samaa TV, presenting her news bulletin with her little daughter playing on her lap.
Prior starting the 7pm bulletin Naz said, “I am not Kiran Naz today. I am a mother first. This is the only reason I am sitting with my daughter.”
She added, “A child’s corpse is the heaviest ‘janaza’ (funeral) and Pakistan is in the burden of Zainab’s funeral.”

During the bulletin, Naz shared her anger over Zanaid’s rape and murder and frustration of the minor’s parents and relatives as there has been no progress in tracking down the minor’s violator and murderer.
Zanaid’s was abducted from from outside her house in Pakistan’s Punjab province. Her body was found from a heap of garbage in Saddar area of the city. According to Pakistani officials, initial autopsy report suggests the minor was stangulated after rape.
People in Pakistan’s Kasur took to streets after reports of the alleged rape and murder of the girl began circulating on social media.
