Maleeha Lodhi, Pakistan's UN Envoy, Calls British PM Boris Johnson 'Foreign Minister' In Major Goof-Up

In an embarrassing goof-UP, Pakistan's permanent representative to the United Nations Maleeha Lodhi on Monday termed British Prime Minister Boris Johnson "Foreign Minister". Actually, Maleeha Lodhi had put out a picture of Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and his British counterpart Boris Johnson. In the caption, she wrote: "Prime Minister Imran Khan met British Foreign Minister Boris Johnson this morning."

She, however, deleted the tweet some 55 minutes later and corrected Johnson's designation. Lodhi said sorry and termed the mistake a "typo". But this is not the first time, Lodhi, who holds a very big post, has made such blunders and goof-ups.

Grilling on Twitter:

In 2017, Lodhi, had held up a photograph of a scarred girl at the United Nations and claimed that she was a victim of pelet guns in Kashmir. However, the picture was fake and Lodhi was trolled mercilessly.

Recently, Former Pakistani High Commissioner to India Abdul Basit had retweeted a photo of porn star claiming him to be a Kashmiri man who lost his vision due to pellet injury. "Yousuf from Ananthnag…lost vision due from pellet…pls raise your voice," he captained the image.
