Plane crashes in Switzerland, several people killed

A small plane on Friday crashed in Central Switzerland, killing several people, police said.

The aircraft crashed in the forest near the town of Hergiswil on Friday morning, according to Nidwalden canton (state) police as reported in AP.

The aircraft was totally burned and officials are yet to ascertain the number and identity those killed in the crash, the police said in a statement.
