However, he refused to comment on Indian govt’s affidavit in Supreme Court terming Rohingyas a “serious threat to nation” and said, “It is India's internal matter. I don’t want to comment on it.”

Indian govt, in an affidavit told Supreme Court that Rohingya refugees a serious security threat as many of them have links with terror organisations and Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

The Bangladesh High Commissioner, however, echoed similar concerns saying a “fraction of number of people can fall into the hands of evildoers who can exploit them for destabilising the region.”

He said, Bangladesh PM has emphasised that Rohingyas must be allowed to return to their country where they can live in safety and dignity.

“Presence of displaced people of this size & dimension in our region is a cause of concern for everybody,” said Ali.
