Russian Ambassador to India Alexander Kadakin passed away this Thursday morning. The exact cause of his death couldn’t be known immediately but later it was made clear that he died of heart failure.

Russian Ambassador to India Alexander Kadakin passed away this Thursday morning. The exact cause of his death couldn’t be known immediately but later it was made clear that he died of heart failure.

Kadakin was the Russian Ambassador to India since 2009. He had earlier served as the ambassador to India between 1999 and 2004.

Kadakin in an interview had lauded efforts of India and Russian governments in forging closer ties in the backdrop of the rapid development of Indo-US relations.

Prime Minister Narednra Modi took to Twitter to express his condolences on Kadakin's passing.
