The authorities are taking necessary actions to find the young girl in the videos, the local government of Riyadh said while issuing a memo. The matter has also been investigated by the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice - Saudi Arabia's ‘morality police’.
The matter has created a heated debate in the country and across the world over the rights of women and gender equality. Saudi Arabia is a highly conservative country where women are not allowed to wear such short dresses.
