A Pakistani magazine, 'Friday Weekly' has claimed that Saudi Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman ordered the return of private plane which Pakistan PM Imran Khan used to visit New York for the UNGA session. Mohammad bin Salman reportedly was miffed over the fact that Imran, along with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Malaysian PM Mahathir Mohammad, ‘planned to jointly represent the Islamic bloc’. Pakistan triying to interlocute with Iran without Prince's 'explicit' approval also didn't go down well with Saudi, reports Friday Weekly

Before attending the UNGA session, Imran had gone to Saudi Arabia and wanted to fly in corporate plane. The Saudi crown prince had offered his plane to Imran Khan. Subsequently, Imran went in MBS' plane and was returning in the same when he had to go back following a technical glitch.

After his return from the US in July, the article adds, Imran had said he felt he had won a second World Cup. Mocking Imran for his 'inflated sense of importance' article adds 'US is still asking Pakistan to “do more” by leveraging the IMF and FATF'.

Earlier, it was reported that Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's plane had to turn mid-flight and return to New York after his plane developed a technical fault while heading to Pakistan.

According to Pakistani media, the crew discovered a technical problem on board the jet, four hours after it left New York for Pakistan. The aircraft was forced to turn around near Toronto and landed in New York’s John F. Kennedy International airport.
