At least 39 people have lost their lives and 45 others wounded in suicide bombing at a Shiite mosque in western Kabul, said country’s Interior Ministry on Friday.
Maj. Gen. Alimast Momand said that the attacker was on foot and walked into to the Imam Zaman Mosque on Friday in the city’s Dashti Barch area where he detonated his explosives.
The head of the area’s Isteqlal Hospital, Mohammad Sabir Nassib, said it has received the bodies of two people killed in the attack as well as two wounded.
As of now, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
