A Thai soldier killed at least 12 people inside a mall in the north-eastern province of Nakhon Ratchasima, the police said. The soldier reportedly stole a Humvee from his base and then proceeded to drive around the province's Korat City on a shooting spree, the police said. He then proceeded to shoot at shoppers inside a mall in the city, Thai Rath reported reported. It said that he took a selfie during the attack.
“The gunman used a machine gun and shot innocent victims resulting in many injured and dead,” a police spokesperson told AFP, with local media reporting as many as 12 fatalities.
