US Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton evoked once again the issue of fallen US soldier Humayun Khan on Sunday saying that the people should be greatfull that his remarkable family decided to make the country their home.

In a series of tweets, Clinton lauded the Khan family after it decided to campaign for her last month.

“We should all be grateful that this remarkable family decided to make America their home,” Hillary tweeted.

Hillary also tweeted Khizr Khan's statement and a video targeting her Republican rival Donald Trump.

Khizr Khan, the father Humayun Khan who died while serving in the 2004 Iraq War, had captivated the nation three months ago when he denounced 70-year-old Trump for his proposal to temporarily ban Muslims from entering the country.
