In India, there is a famous saying - "Jako rakhe saiyan, maar sake na koy". It roughly translates to - He, who is protected by the gods, can be harmed by anyone. Well this old saying came true in neighbouring China, where a three-year-old boy miraculously survived a six-storey fall from an apartment building without any injuries.
In a harrowing video shared by People's Daily China on its Twitter handle, the toddler is seen clinging to the edge of a balcony in the south-western city of Chongqing. Thanks to the quick-thinking residents, who noticed the three-year-old boy and rushed to the sidewalk below with a large blanket.
Once he lost the grip, the boy plunged directly on the blanket the residents were carrying to break his fall. He was immidietely rushed to the hospital where doctors found that he didn't sustain any injury at all.

"I held out the blanket, along with the others, while looking at the child," Zhu Yanhui, one of the group members who saved the boy from the six storey fall told BBC.
According to the reports, the boy was alone at home at the time of the incident. He wandered out onto the balcony and slipped while trying to climb its railing.
