In what comes as another embarrassing moment for Pakistan, the members of Imran Khan-led PTI and opposition leaders on Thursday broke into a fight as the joint session of country’s parliament was underway. The scuffle took place when Pakistan President Arif Alvi was addressing the session. According to Pakistan media, the dramatic fight erupted after President Alvi congratulated the lower house on the successful completion of first year under Prime Minister Imran Khan. The opposition leaders raised slogans and chants against the Imran Khan dispensation.
The joint session which witnessed disruption was also attended by chiefs of the navy and air force. A twitter user posted the video of this incident-

Pakistan is badly hit by inflation as prices of general commodities are going up with each passing day. The prices of milk have soared to an unprecedented height and it is being sold at a price as higher as Rs140 per litre.
Before the commencement of the joint session of Pakistan parliament, Pak media had reported that president Alvi’s address was likely to get disrupted by the hostile opposition.
“It is unlikely that the government will have a smooth sailing during the joint sitting”, Pakistan media quoted opposition leader Syed Naveed Qamar as saying.
However, ruckus in parliament is not a new thing for Pakistan. Earlier, Pak Parliament witnessed war of words after PML-N senator Mushahidullah Khan called federal minister Fawad Chaudhry a “dog”. The remark was made during the joint session of the Parliament which was convened in the wake of India’s decision to abrogate Article 370 that granted special status to Jammu and Kashmir. The senator was criticising the PTI government over the recent developments in Kashmir.
