Watch: US Coast Guards chase down cocaine-filled 'submarine' in most James Bond way

The US Coast Guard has released bodycam footage showing troops jumping on a semi-submarine, loaded with more than 17,000 pounds of cocaine, in the Pacific. 

A coastguardsman on board US Coastguard cutter Munro can be heard shouting ‘stop your boat now’ in Spanish as he draws up beside the submarine-type vessel, nicknamed a ‘narco-submarine’.

“That’s going to be hard to get on’, the trooper can then be heard saying before he leaps on top of the vessel in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. Another crew member, dressed in green camouflage uniforms, follows his colleague.

The first trooper bangs his fist on the hatch of the hull. He continues to bang until a man opens it and raises his hands.

According to reports, the video is of June 18 when a narco-submarine hundreds of miles off the Colombian and Ecuadoran coast in waters was spotted by the US Coast Guard Cutter Munro.

The Coast Guard says it has offloaded tons of cocaine and marijuana with an estimated street value of $569 million.

The drugs were seized in 14 operations since May in international waters off Mexico and Central and South America, AP reported. 

The report mentions that fifty-five smuggling suspects were taken into custody.
