While the Indian government is desperately trying to get Vijay Mallya extradited to India, the fugitive liquor baron, who is wanted in the country for a loan default case, is having a high old time in the United Kingdom (UK).

Mallya, who is the owner of Indian Premier League (IPL) franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore, arrived at the Kennington Oval in London to watch the final test match between India and England on Sunday.

In a video shared by news agency ANI on its Twitter handle, Mallya is seen coming out of his car and entering the Kennington stadium. On the entry gate, the liquor baron hands over tickets to a woman and a man, who also accompanied him to the ground. He also shows a thumbs up sign to the cameraman shooting the video.

The 62-year-old former boss of now-grounded Kingfisher airlines is wanted in India for defaulting loans of state-run banks worth around 9,000 crore. He had fled the country on March 2, 2016, the very day when the banks had moved the Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT).

Currently, he is residing in the UK and the Indian government is making all the possible efforts for Mallya's extradition before 2019 Lok Sabha elections. He was even arrested in 2017 on an extradition warrant by the UK police. However, he got the bail soon after his arrest.
