PM Modi narrated India's growth story while addressing an elite gathering of the top world CEOs. He stressed that India is not only a booming economy but a major market which means business and is ready to offer lucrative platforms and prospects for global businesses.

Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi addressed the delegates at the World Economic Forum (WEF) on Tuesday where he spoke on the state of affairs that the world is already in.  

In his speach, PM Modi touched upon several contemporary issues that is looking at the world eye to eye. Issues like terrorism, distinction between good and bad terrorism, climate change, blackade in international supply chain and many more. 

There is a greater need for the international community to sit back and introspect on what we have become and what we wanted to be, was at the core of Narendra Modi's address. 

PM Modi recited a sanskrit shloka from the Ishopanishad which means that humans should adopt a dissociated consumption way of life to make sure that nature and its resources are not depleted.

16:50: If you want peace along with prosperity and health with wholeness then come to India.

16:48: Where the world is not fractured by domestic wars, said Indian litterateur Ravindra Nath Tagore. Lets come together and work for common benefit.

16:47: India does not believe in self centred development. World over we are working on development of other backward countries as well.    

16:42: As many as 1, 50,000 Indian soldiers sacrificed their lives during World War II. It is on this principle that we were one of the primary members for UN Peacekeeping forces. 

16:35: The youth of our country has contributed immensely to the present process of development. Can you imagine?

16:33: We have chosen the path of Reform, Perform and Transform as our vison for development 

16:32: To achieve that my government has done what is required, be it opening in of bank accounts for the poor or bringing reforms for women and girls.  

16:31: For the first time in the history of 70 years of independent India, an integrated tax in the country has been implemented as Goods and Services Tax- GST. Technological help is sought to ensure transparency in transactions. 

16:30: Democracy is just one other diversity that India is endowed with. Co-Operative development is the motto of my government.  

16:28: There is a big gap between the haves and have nots. Supply chain appears to have come to a standstill.

16:25: In today's world globalisation is working against its own nature. Today the world is becoming more self centred. 

16:24: Terrorism is bad, but whats worse is drawing the thin line between good and bad terrorism

16:22: We have set the target of generating 175 GW of electricity through Solar power. It is a very big challenge for a country like India. But we have taken it upon ourselves.

16:19: 1000 years ago Gautam Buddha also walked on the same principle. 

16:15: 1000 years at the time of narrating the Upanishad, our saints said that while living in this world dissociate yourself while consuming. 

16:11: Like in a family we have squables, similarly in the world stage also there could be petty disagreements among the countries of the world. But like a family when it faces a common threat from an alien source then the whole family unite and fights to eliminate the threat.  

16:11: India always believes that the World is One Family. 

16:07: Today, one who controls the data also controls the world. 

16:04: The technology of today can be broken, bended and again rejoined. Social Media has played a very big role. 

16: 03: During 1997 if you typed the word Amazon, you would get images of dense forest and long rivers with pure water. 

16:02: The WEF summit was first attended by  H D Deve Gowda in 1997. The world has changed dramatically since then. We are living in an age of big data and robotics.
