Rio de Janeiro [Brazil], July 8 (ANI): Prime Miniter Narendra Modi departed for Brailia on Monday night after attending the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro.

PM Modi i travelling to Brailia for hi State Viit to Brazil, where he will hold bilateral dicuion with Brazilian Preident Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva on the broadening of the Strategic Partnerhip between two nation in area of mutual interet, including trade, defence, energy, pace, technology, agriculture, health and people-to-people linkage.
Earlier on Monday, PM Modi met Uruguay Preident Yamandu Ori on the ideline of the BRICS Summit and dicued the expanion of the India-MERCOSUR Preferential Trade Agreement.
They reviewed cooperation in the area of digital collaboration, ICT, Digital Public Infratructure and UPI, defence, railway, health and pharmaceutical, agriculture, energy, culture and people-to-people linkage, the MEA aid in a tatement.
A key area of dicuion wa trengthening bilateral trade and invetment. Both ide expreed interet in the expanion of the India-MERCOSUR Preferential Trade Agreement, aiming to unlock greater economic potential and trade complementaritie, it added.
Earlier, PM Modi, along with other BRICS leader, partner and outreach invitee, gathered for the traditional family photo at the 17th BRICS Summit in Rio de Janeiro.
While addreing a eion on Environment, COP-30 and Global Health at the BRICS Summit in Brazil on Monday, PM Modi aid India would redefine the BRICS grouping under it upcoming chairmanhip by focuing on Building Reilience and Innovation for Cooperation and Sutainability.
Under India BRICS Chairmanhip, we will define BRICS in a new form. BRICS would mean Building Reilience and Innovation for Cooperation and Sutainability. He affirmed that India would carry forward the pirit of people-centric progre during it leaderhip of the BRICS in the coming year.
PM Modi arrived in Brazil on Saturday (local time) after concluding hi viit to Argentina, where he held a bilateral meeting with Argentine Preident Javier Milei. After Brazil, PM Modi will head to Namibia on July 9 and alo addre it parliament.
PM Modi began hi five-nation viit on Wedneday in Ghana. From Ghana, PM Modi went to Trinidad and Tobago and then to Argentina. (ANI)
