Hi remark came after he announced new tariff for 14 nation, including Thailand, Myanmar, Bangladeh, South Korea, and Japan, that will take effect on Augut 1.
Erlier, Trump hared letter ent by hi adminitration to 14 countrie on hi ocial media platform Truth Social, informing them of the reciprocal tariff that will take effect from Augut 1.
Trump firt hared the letter ent to Japan Prime Miniter Shigeru Ihiba and South Korea Preident Lee Jae-myung. Around two hour later, he announced imilar letter were ent to Malayia, Kazakhtan, South Africa, Myanmar and Lao.
Later, he hared tariff letter ent to leader of other countrie, including Thailand, Bangladeh, Indoneia, Tuniia, Bonia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Cambodia.
According to the letter, Thailand and Cambodia each will face a tariff of 36 per cent while and Bangladeh and Serbia will each be hit with a tariff of 35 per cent. In the letter, Trump mentioned that Malayia and Kazakhtan will each face 25 per cent tariff.
Myanmar and Lao will face a 40 per cent tariff on their good exported to the US. Indoneia will face a tariff rate of 32 per cent. Import from South Africa and Bonia and Herzegovina will be ubject to 30 per cent tariff on Augut 1. According to the letter, Tuniia will face a tariff of 25 per cent.
In the letter written to the South Korean Preident and the Japanee Prime Miniter, Trump tated that Japan and South Korea will face a 25 per cent tariff from Augut 1.
In the letter, Trump threatened to increae the tariff rate by the ame amount if the countrie decided to raie their tariff on importing American product. However, the US Preident indicated hi willingne to reduce thee tariff if thee countrie revied their trade policie.
