Maharashtra Polls: Sanjay Dutt Backs 'Younger Brother' Aaditya Thackeray
Aaditya Thackeray Declared Assets Of Rs 16.05 Crore On Thursday As He Filed Nomination From Worli Assembly Constituency.
Film star Sanjay Dutt on Tuesday heaped praises on Shiv Sena leader Aaditya Thackeray and called him his younger brother. In a video posted by Rahul.N.Kanal, Sanjay Dutt said that the country needs young and dynamic leaders and he wish that Aditya wins the upcoming poll with big margin.
Dutt, also remembered Shiv Sena founder Balasahab Thackeray and that said he owe the Thackeray family.
Earlier this month, Aaditya Thackeray filed his nomination for the October 21 Maharashtra Assembly polls. Aaditya Thackeray, who has become the first member of the Thackeray clan to take plunge into electoral politics, is contesting from the Worli Assembly segment in Mumbai.
He was accompanied by his father, Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray, and mother Rashmi while filing nomination papers.
Aaditya Thackeray declared assets of Rs 16.05 crore on Thursday as he filed nomination from Worli Assembly constituency. According to the affidavit filed by the 29-year-old Aaditya, he has movable assets of Rs 11.38 crore and immovable assets of Rs 4.67 crore.
It includes bank deposits of Rs 10.36 crore and a car (a BMW) worth Rs 6.50 lakh. The Shiv Sena youth wing chief also owns jewelery, bullion and other valuables worth Rs 64.65 lakh. He did his Bachelor of Arts in 2011 and acquired `Bachelor of Laws' degree in 2015, the affidavit said.
Further, he has no criminal cases pending against him, it stated.
