Maharashtra: Shiv Sena Wants Assurance From Amit Shah Or Devendra Fadnavis Over 50-50 Formula Before Govt Formation
Shiv Sena has asked for written assurance from senior BJP leaders such as Amit Shah or Devendra Fadnavis over 50-50 formula before agreeing to government formation in Maharashtra.
After the meeting of Shiv Sena MLAs on Saturday, Pratap Sarnaik of Shiv Sena said that during the meeting it was decided to seek assurance in writing from BJP about over the 50-50 formula. He said, "Amit Shah ji had promised 50-50 formula before Lok Sabha polls. Similarly, both allies should get chance to run Govt for 2.5-2.5 years and Shiv Sena should also have chief minister. Uddhav ji should get this assurance in writing from BJP."
Meanwhile, one of the posters put up outside Matoshree, i.e. the Thackeray residence, reads 'CM Maharashtra only Aditya Thackeray'.
