Former Mizoram IGP LT Hrangchal joins Congress, may contest elections

Former Inspector General of Police (IGP) LT Hrangchal has joined the ruling Congress in Mizoram and will contest the upcoming state Assembly elections scheduled November 28, party sources said.The Mizoram Pradesh Congress Committee said that Hrangchal may contest from Chalfilh seat and is likely to be pitted against Lalrinliana Sailo.
ALSO READ: Hyundai Santro to make comeback later on October in IndiaSailo left the Congress and joined the Mizo National Front (MNF) recently.Chalfilh seat is at present represented by Dr H Ngurdingliana of the Congress.Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party is planning to go it alone in the state elections, according to party sources.
