German luxury carmaker BMW on Monday launched a new version of Z4 Roadster in India, priced at Rs 64.9 lakh (ex-showroom).
The model comes in two engine variants—the BMW Z4 sDrive20i and the BMW M Performance model, the BMW Z4 M40i, the company said in a statement.
The Z4 sDrive20i variant is priced at Rs 64.9 lakh, while the Z4 M40i trim is tagged at Rs 78.9 lakh.
“The all-new BMW Z4 Roadster is our brand-new addition to the company’s long history of engrossing roadsters. With dynamic proportions, emotional design and thrilling sportiness, this open-top two-seater takes the classic roadster into the world of tomorrow,” BMW Group India President Hans-Christian Baertels said.
Apart from this, the German automaker also introduced a new diesel variant of 6 Series Gran Turismo sedan in India, priced at Rs 63.9 lakh (ex-showroom). Locally produced at the company’s plant in Chennai, the BMW 620d Gran Turismo diversifies the model’s diesel portfolio.
The variant features an exceptionally efficient entry-level diesel engine which further strengthens the portfolio of the model, he added. The vehicle comes with a two-litre four-cylinder diesel engine that enables it to accelerate from 0-100 km/hr in just 7.9 seconds.
Last month, the German automaker introduced 530i M Sport in Indian market, priced at Rs 59.2 lakh (ex-showroom). The model now comes with a petrol engine, is locally produced at Chennai and is BS-VI compliant, BMW said in a statement. The brand-new BMW 530i is currently available in four colour options which are Alpine White, Black Sapphire, Mediterranean Blue and Bluestone Metallic.
The two-litre four-cylinder petrol engine in the BMW 530i produces an output of 185kW or 252 hp, allowing it to accelerate from 0-100 km/hr in just 6.2 seconds. Talking about the exclusive features, the luxury car is designed with M strip along with an M leather steering wheel and an illuminated M door sill finisher to the M Sport brake with blue callipers bearing the M logo.
