Maruti Suzuki, the India’s largest automaker, is all set to launch a micro-SUV named as ‘S-Presso’ on September 30. Maruti Suzuki S-Presso, which is up against Renault Kwid in the Indian market, has started arriving at dealerships. It is to be noted that the Maruti Suzuki has already released a design sketch of the mini-SUV. While the rear-portion of S-Presso was earlier revealed in a spy-photograph, the micro-SUV has been spotted again in a completely undisguised avatar. Yes, you read it right. The images captured by Power Stroke reveal the front and side profile of Maruti Suzuki S-Presso.
As per the spy-photographs, the micro-SUV looks sporty with freshly designed headlamps and bumper on the front. The grille looks same as the one found in Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza. Maruti Suzuki S-Presso features halogen headlamps, steel wheels without covers and manually-adjustable black-coloured ORVMs.
It is worth mentioning here that, the upcoming Maruti Suzuki S-Presso will come equipped with a BS6-compliant 1.0-litre three-cylinder K-Series petrol engine that will produce 67 bhp and 91 Nm of peak torque. Apart from the standard five-speed manual gearbox, there will be an AGS (Auto Gear Shift) as well.
Maruti Suzuki S-Presso will be made available in four variants i.e. Std, LXi, VXi and VXi+. On the features front, the upcoming vehicle will have body-coloured bumpers, body-coloured ORVMs, keyless entry with central locking, digital speedometer, 17.78 cm Smartplay Studio touchscreen infotainment system and steering-mounted controls.
On the safety features front, Maruti Suzuki S-Presso will carry ABS with EBD, driver side airbag, reverse parking sensor, speed alert system and driver and co-driver seat belt reminder will be available across all the variants. However, the passenger-side airbag will be optional.
The S-Presso will be 3,665 mm in length. Its width and height will be 1,520 mm and 1,564 mm, respectively. The wheelbase will measure 2,380 mm. On the pricing front, the S-Presso is expected range between Rs 3.50 lakh (ex-showroom) to Rs 5.50 lakh (ex-showroom).
