India’s Largest Auto Manufacturer Maruti Suzuki Is All Set To Launch Its Much-awaited MPV XL6 In The Indian Market
India’s largest auto manufacturer Maruti Suzuki is all set to launch its much-awaited MPV XL6 in the Indian market. The launch of the car is scheduled for August 21 while the bookings for the vehicle commenced on August 9 for a token amount of Rs 11,000.
The new vehicle which will be retailed through premium retail chain Nexa can be booked with an initial payment of Rs 11,000, the country’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) said in a statement.
Maruti Suzuki XL6 comes with a BS-VI compliant K15 petrol engine along with Smart Hybrid technology. It will be offered across two variant levels with a choice of manual and automatic transmissions, the company added.
“The XL6 is an exclusive 6-seater premium MPV, designed to meet the aspirations of evolved and discerning Nexa customers,” MSI Executive Director, Marketing and Sales Shashank Srivastava said. The model will further strengthen Nexa products portfolio and provide customers with a range of products from hatchbacks, sedan, SUV and now a premium MPV at Nexa, he added.
It is developed on 5th Generation HEARTECT platform and will come with features such as dual front airbags, ABS (anti-lock braking system) with EBD (electronic brake force distribution), hill hold assist, electronic stability program) and reverse parking sensors, among others as standard fitment, the company added.
Commenting on the development, MSI Executive Director, Marketing and Sales Shashank Srivastava said, “With the new BS-VI compliant petrol engines, much ahead of the government deadline, we reinforce our commitment towards cleaner environment.” BS-VI petrol vehicles will have substantial reduction in emissions, thus contributing to a safer and cleaner environment, he added
