As Many As 14,022 Units Of The Lamborghini Huracan Have Been Sold Since Its Launch Five Years Ago, Surpassing The Sales Of Its Predecessor, Gallardo In One Decade.
As many as 14,022 units of the Lamborghini Huracan have been sold since its launch five years ago, surpassing the sales of its predecessor, Gallardo in one decade. It is to be noted that the production of Lamborghini Huracan began in 2014, while the luxury carmaker manufactured Gallardos between 2003 and 2013.
In a statement, the automaker said, “Lamborghini Huracan number 14,022, in Grigio Titans (grey) and destined for the Korean market, rolled off the assembly line in just five years of production, thus surpassing the 14,022 Gallardo units over a production cycle of ten years (2003 – 2013). This marks a production milestone for the V10 model of Lamborghini.”
Lamborghini further said, “The successor to the iconic Gallardo made its world debut with the Huracan V10 family in 2014. The Coupe was followed by the Spyder and the rear-wheel-drive versions, then was joined by the record holder Performante in 2017 and the Performante Spyder in 2018. In 2019, the new Huracan EVO (Coupé and Spyder) was introduced, featuring a next-generation V10 engine and incorporating next-generation vehicle dynamic control and aerodynamics.”
“In the first six months of 2019 (from January 1 to June 30), Automobili Lamborghini delivered a total of 4,553 cars to its customers, 96% more than the same period last year,” it added.
“The Huracan accounted for 1,211 units, including deliveries during the Huracan Performante’s phase-out period and introduction of the new Huracan EVO, of which first customer deliveries started in June 2019. The Aventador, the V12 brand icon headed by the SVJ model, maintained its high levels, with 649 units delivered to customers,” the company said.
