Tata Hexon Downtown Urban edition hits Indian roads at Rs 12.18 lakhs
Tata Tata Motors Has Continued With Their Auto Launching Spree In The Indian Markets By Unveiling The Hexa Downtown Urban Edition Starting At Rs 12.18 Lakhs (ex-showroom New Delhi).
Tata Tata Motors has continued with their auto launching spree in the Indian markets by unveiling the Hexa Downtown Urban edition starting at Rs 12.18 lakhs (ex-showroom New Delhi).Â
This special edition gets a facelift and packs new features in its cabin. The Hexa shall be sporting a new Urban Bronze paint job which is specific to this Downtown Urban edition. There are two packages on offer - Absolute and Indulge.Â
Both of these add chrome highlights to the vehicle to up the bling factor. The headlights and tail lamp surrounds, ORVMs and sides sport these additional chrome bits. A downtown badging, side steps, tan seat covers, a wireless charger, carpet sets and car care kit are common to both packages too.Â
The key difference between the Absolute and Indulge packages are in terms of alloy wheels on lower variants. Also, the Indulge package adds a head-up display (HUD) and 10-inch rear seat entertainment screens trims on the top-end XT and XTA trims.
Mechanically, the Hexa Downtown Urban edition will get the same engine options from the regular model. The 2.2-litre turbo diesel mill is offered in two states of tune.Â
In the lower variant it produces 148bhp and 320Nm of torque, while in the higher spec-variant it churns out 154bhp and 400Nm of torque. The powerplant in the lower state-of-tune comes mated to a five-speed manual gearbox, and will be rear-wheel driven.Â
The more powerful version comes with six-speed manual and automatic gearbox options, available with either rear wheel drive or all-wheel drive. Tata Motors has begun the bookings for this Downtown Urban edition at all dealerships across India. However, it should be noted that the carmaker is planning to produce it in limited numbers.
