Tata Nexon EV With ZIPTRON Technology To Be Launched In India In 2020
Recently, Tata Motors Announced To Deliver Future Ready And Technologically Advanced, Made In India Electric Cars. And Now, Tata Motors Have Confirmed That The Nexon EV Will Be Launched Next Year.
Recently, Tata Motors announced to deliver future ready and technologically advanced, made in India electric cars. The automaker had then revealed that that the first electric car to roll with the Ziptron powertrain will be the Tata Nexon EV. And now, Tata Motors have confirmed that the Nexon EV will be launched next year.
Shailesh Chandra, President - Electric Mobility Business & Corporate Strategy, Tata Motors said, "We are proud to announce that Nexon EV will be available for personal buyers in India from Q4 (Jan-Mar) FY19-20. Powered by the cutting-edge Ziptron technology, Nexon EV promises to address the barriers that exist in the EV market today and will deliver a thrilling on-road performance, ensuring zero emission."
According to a report of NDTV’s carandbike, Tata Nexon EV will be powered by advanced lithium-ion cells which will give a drive range of about 300 kms on a single charge. The liquid-cooled battery will come packed in a solid IP67 case which provides high strength outer shell to protect critical electric vehicle components.
It is worth mentioning here that ZIPTRON technology comprises of a highly efficient permanent magnet AC motor providing superior performance on demand. It also offers best in industry dust and water proof battery system meeting IP67 standards. Further, ZIPTRON utilizes smart regenerative braking to charge the battery while on the drive.
The price of Tata Nexon EV is being expected between Rs 15 lakh and Rs 17 lakh. Tata Nexon EV will join Altroz EV in India.
