Former Uttarakhand Chief Minister Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri was conferred with the Mother Teresa International Award at a simple function in Kolkata on Sunday.
Khanduri, a retired Major General, was to get the award on April 6 this year but could not make it to the ceremony due to unavoidable reasons, a release from his office here said.
The Kolkata based Mother Teresa International Award Committee honours eminent people from different walks of life every year for distinguished work in their field.
