Delhi police control room got call from unidentified caller allegedly threatening to shoot Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal upon his return from Punjab on Wednesday, sources said.
At present, Kejriwal is travelling from Chandigarh to Delhi via road. He is expected to reach Delhi in next few hours.
Delhi police sources have confirmed the death threat call to Kejriwal. Arvind Kejriwal is having Z plus security cover at the moment. The Delhi police has also informed Punjab police about the threat call.
It is not first time that Kejriwal has received death threat. Earlier, in February this year, Kejriwal’s office also received an e-mail threatening to take his life.
