One More Case Of Coronavirus Has Been Confirmed In Noida, Taking The Total Number Of Positive Cases In The City To Six.
One more case of coronavirus has been confirmed in Noida, taking the total number of positive cases in the city to six. The patient, 31, who lives in Greater Noida, was tested positive for coronavirus on Saturday. According to reports, the patient had returned from Dubai earlier and has been admitted in Government Institute of Medical Sciences (GIIMS).
Earlier in the day, a resident of Noida’s Supertech Capetown in sector-74 was tested positive for the coronavirus. The district administration has announced a lockdown of the residential society from 10 am Saturday till 7 am on Monday for sanitisation.

The Noida police, in order to help contain the spread of coronavirus, has already ordered the closure of all malls, spa-centres in the region. The police have also imposed section 144 in the region to check the outbreak of COVID-19.
Only chemist shops, general stores, vegetable and fruits shops are allowed to function. All the major markets of the area would remain closed till April 2.
According to latest reports, the number of novel coronavirus cases in India rose to 315 on Saturday with more than 60 persons testing positive as several states went into battle mode to contain the pandemic, announcing partial shutdowns and imposing restrictions on people’s movement and gatherings among a slew of precautionary measures.
The country is also set to observe a janata curfew from 7 am to 9 pm on Sunday after Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday pitched for social distancing, asking people, barring those in essential services, not to get out of their homes.
