Rajasthan: At Least 16 Killed, Several Injured In Road Accident In Jodhpur
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot Expressed His Condolences And Prayed For The Recovery Of The Injured.
At least 16 people were killed and several others sustained serious injuries after a head-on collision between a bus and a camper on NH 125 in Balesar area of Rajasthan's Jodhpur district. Off the dead, eight are men and seven are women. A children was also killed in the horrific incident. All the injured were taken to a nearby hospital from where eight of them were referred to Jodhpur.
According to the information, Balesar resident Shravan Kumar Singh was returning from his relative place in Jhanvar village along with his family in a camper. On their way back, their vehicle, a Bolero camper, was hit by a mini-bus coming from the opposite side. The driver of the bus lost control over the wheel after its tyre burst.
The villagers reached the spot and took the injured to Balesar CHC, where 13 people were decalred brought dead. Eight injured, who were critically injured, were referred to Jodhpur.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed his condolences and prayed for the recovery of the injured. "Extremely pained by the loss of lives in a terrible road accident in Balesar, Jodhpur on NH 125. My thoughts are with the bereaved families. May God give them strength to bear this terrible loss. Hope and pray those injured recover soon," Gehlot said.
