At Least 20-30 People Were Feared Trapped After A Four-storey Building Collapsed In Maharashtra’s Palghar On Tuesday Evening. The Rescue Operation Is Currently Underway.
At least 20-30 people are feared trapped after a four-storey building collapsed in Maharashtra’s Palghar district on Tuesday evening. The building is located in Nityanand Nagar in Virar East and is said to be illegal.
Soon after the tragic incident was reported, a team of police and fire brigade officials reached the spot and evacuated the other residents of the building.
Last month, a part of a slab in an under-construction building had collapsed in Palghar's Dongari area, leaving one dead and injuring another.
Back in July this year, four members of a family, including a senior couple, were injured when the tile roof of their home came crashing down while they were sleeping. The tragic incident took place on the Palghar- Mahim Road.
