The Video Of The Incident That Went Viral On Social Media Shows Sohail Menon Slapping Constable Munde. Menon Who Was Not Wearing A Helmet Was Riding With His Wife And Son.
A traffic constable was beaten up by a motorcycle rider who was caught for allegedly jumping a traffic signal at Vasai on Sunday. The whole gruesome incident was captured on the CCTV footage. The video of the incident went viral on the social media.
The viral video shows Sohail Menon slapping Constable Munde. Menon who was not wearing a helmet was riding with his wife and son.
The incident took place at around 7 pm when Munde was at the signal. Menon allegedly jumped the signal and was stopped by Munde who asked for his license and told him to move alongside the road to allow movement of vehicles.
Munde takes photographs of the two-wheeler and the rider. He then approaches the police with his complaint.
Vasai traffic inspector Sampatrao Patil said that while a NC has been registered with the police, they will file a case under section 353 (assaulting a government servant) after an investigation. No arrest has been made.
