Tripura CM Biplab Kumar Deb holds poll rally in Mizoram
Joining the poll campaign in its sister’s state Mizoram, Tripura Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb and state Social Welfare Minister Santan Chakma on Tuesday addressed poll rally for the state assembly elections to be held on November 28, party sources said.
The two BJP leaders left for Aizawl on Tuesday and addressed a poll rally at Kamalanagar, BJP spokesperson Subrata Chakraborty told reporters, adding that Deb was given a special responsibility to join the Assembly poll campaign in Mizoram.
Kamalanagar is the headquarters of the Chakma Autonomus District Council.

Apart from Deb and Chakma, several BJP CMs from the northeastern states will join the campaign for the Mizoram Assembly elections, Chakraborty said.
On October 17, BJP president Amit Shah visited Aizawl to kick off the party’s election campaign and he had said the BJP would contest all the 40 Assembly seats in Mizoram.
Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal will also be heading for Mizoram soon, the spokesperson said.
The Reang and Chakma community voters dominate at least five constituencies in Mizoram.
