Rahul pens emotional letter to 'Amethi family', seeks their blessings and love
In His Letter Address To His 'Amethi Family', The Congress Chief Said That Amethi's Strength Was Its “honesty, Integrity And Simplicity'.
Congress president Rahul Gandhi has written an emotional letter to the people of his constituency Amethi. In the letter addressed to "Amethi family", the Congress president promised speedy completion of development works in the constituency which, he claimed, was stopped by the Narendra Modi-led BJP government.
"It is my promise to the people of Amethi that the moment the Congress comes to power at the centre, the schemes blocked by the BJP will be started. On 6 May, vote in large numbers to bring back this member of the family," the Congress chief said in the letter.
Terming the BJP a 'factory of lies', the Congress chief said that Amethi's strength was its “honesty, integrity and simplicityâ€. He said that Amethi taught him the language of love, which he has been spreading across the country.
Talking about the country's two ideologies, the Gandhi scion said that at one side there is an ideology of the Congress party which talks about working for the poor, farmers, youths, women and small shopkeepers, the other is the ideology of the BJP which works only for the 15-20 industrialists.
The letter of the Congress president is being distributed to all the houses in Amethi. Rahul Gandhi has won the Lok Sabha election from Amethi in 2004, 2009 and 2014. This time, he is being challenged by Union Minister Smriti Irani, whome he defeated in 2014.
