Here’s how Amitabh, Abhishek made Jaya Bachchan’s birthday SPECIAL (see pics)

Veteran Bollywood actress Jaya Bachchan turned a year older on Monday and Amitabh and Abhishek left no stone unturned to make the day special for her.

Big B posted about the midnight celebrations of his official blog. He wrote, "At the stroke of the midnight hour, the greetings and wishes and calls and the feeding of sweetmeats; the gifting of love and togetherness and the welcoming of the lady on her 70th! She be wife and mother... and she be with her 'progress report''.

“Feelings and love delivered… writings of occasion hand-written on card… the gratitude of the special day and spending the time with all about, reminiscing… Quiet… still and intimate… The best way to bring in a remembrance and the passage of time over the year gone by''. Amitabh Bachchan wrote on his blog.

The Deewar actor also shared a picture on Instagram where Abhishek and Shweta can be seen hugging Jaya Bachchan.

Abhishek Bachchan shared a black and white picture of his doting mother with the caption, ‘’Happy Birthday Ma. You are the world to me, love you!’’

The Bunty Aur Babli actor also posted a photo with Jaya Bachchan from the birthday celebrations.  

Popular designer duo Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla hosted private birthday dinner party for Jaya and some of her close friends. A report in Pinkvilla suggested that Karan Johar, Sonali Bendra and Sonam Kapoor attended the intimate celebrations.

Several B-town celebrities wished the Abhimaan actress on her 70th birth anniversary.
