Arjun Rampal lands in legal trouble yet AGAIN, complaint filed over non-payment of dues
A Case Has Been Filed Against Arjun Rampal In The Bombay High Court As He Allegedly Failed To Pay Back A Loan Of Rs 1 Crore.
A case has been filed against Arjun Rampal in the Bombay High Court as he allegedly failed to pay back a loan of Rs 1 crore which he had taken from YT Entertainment in May 2018. As per the lawsuit filed through solicitor Aurup Dasgupta, Rampal had promised to pay back the loan of within 90 days, with an interest of 12% per annum.
However, as per a report in Hindustan Times, the actor has said that the issue has been cleared. “The issue has been cleared and the transaction has happened,” said Rampal. He further added that he would make it clear in court when the lawsuit came up for hearing.
The Paltan actor had also given the company a post-dated cheque. However, the cheque bounced on August 23 and consequently, the entertainment company filed a lawsuit against the actor under the Negotiable Instruments Act on October 29.
Rampal then paid Rs 7.5 lakh to the firm on November 22, but since he failed to pay the entire loan amount, a commercial suit was filed for recovery of amount with interest, on Tuesday, after adjusting the Rs 7.5 lakh he had already paid.
Arjun Rampal has been in the news for all other reasons as well. He has been photographed time and again with his alleged girlfriend, Gabriella Demetriades after getting separated from his wife Mehr Jesia. Arjun was last seen in JP Dutta’s Paltan which was based on 1967 Nathu La and Cho La clashes along the Sikkim border after the 1962 Sino-Indian War.
