Rajasthan Government Has Filed A Petition In The Supreme Court Challenging The Acquittal Of Actor Salman Khan In Two Poaching Cases. They Have Requested SC To Order Salman Khan To Surrender In The Poaching Case.
Rajasthan government has filed a petition in the Supreme Court challenging the acquittal of actor Salman Khan in two poaching cases. They have requested SC to order Salman Khan to surrender in the poaching case.
State government wants Salman to serve his remaining sentence, after being convicted for hunting and killing the chinkaras.
Earlier in July, the high court overturned two trial court verdicts that handed the actor one and five years’ imprisonment and found him not guilty for killing an endangered species of gazelle or chinkara. Salman has spent 13 days behind bars.
The actor was shooting for the film Hum Saath Saath Hain at that time. Two cases against Salman – black-buck hunting and possessing illegal arms – are still being tried at trial courts in the state.
