Shahid Kapoor prefers parenting over promotional activities. Here’s the proof

The Haider star Shahid Kapoor, who was supposed to be busy promoting his upcoming flick ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ but he is currently occupied with his parenting job and says "being a parent is above all’’. Recently, Shahid was blessed with second child and welcomed baby boy ‘Zain’ just a week ago.

Both Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput already have a two-year old daughter Misha and the couple leave no chance in sharing cute pictures and videos of her over social media.

Shahid took to his Twitter handle to explain his absence from the promotional activities of ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ and wrote, "The last few days have been tough. Misha running very high fever and Zain just came home. Have had to miss some promotions. Just nine days to go for Batti Gul meter chalu to release but being a parent is above all else. Hope to resume promotions very soon’’.

Helmed by Shree Narayan Singh, ‘Batti Gul Meter Chalu’ also features Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam. The movie is slated to release on September 21.
